Window shopping only for City?

Coventry City look set to do very little incoming transfer business in January with manager Aidy Boothroyd happy that his side’s only real problem area, that of left-back, will be more than adequately filled by the fit-again Stephen O’Halloran.

“Stephen gives us more flexibility in our attacking options,’ Boothroyd told the Coventry Telegraph.

“The lads who have gone in there have done very well but they`re not left backs; we`ve had either a centre-half or a right-footed player there and that does affect you.’

Boothroyd is right to bide his time. Now that the dust has settled on a poor festive period, City still hold a decent league position and have a much greater squad depth than a year ago.

Should the ace in the pack become available to transform the Sky Blues into instant promotion contenders then fair enough but the current squad shoud be more than capable of a much improved league position come May.
