Coventry City host Sheffield United at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday hoping to take advantage of defensive problems for the Blades new manager Micky Adams.

The former Sky Blues supremo has made a positive impression since taking over his hometown team but is without a number of players at the back including Nyron Nosworthy, Andy Taylor, Stephen Jordan and Chris Morgan.

To that end West Brom’s Joe Mattock has been linked with a move to Sheffield although one player who won’t be pulling on the red-and-white shirt again is Matthew Kilgallon. The former United man has joined South Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers on loan from Sunderland for the remainder of the campaign.

‘I’d love to see what would happen if we actually took the lead in a game,’ Adams told the Sheffield Star. ‘What would happen if we got our noses in front.

‘The lads have shown so much honesty and determination since I came in but we’ve got to stop giving teams one or two-goal starts. That’s not a good habit to be in.’
