Former Sky Blues midfielder Jay Tabb is likely to start on the bench for Saturday’s meeting between his former club and current side Reading where the Royals will look to secure their place in the top six for the end of season play-offs.

“Coventry have picked up and had a good couple of results,’ he told www.getreading.co.uk ahead of the Ricoh Arena clash, Andy Thorn’s first since being named as permanent Sky Blues boss.

“I don`t think they were ever in any danger of being in a relegation battle, but when Andy Thorn took over they were only a few points out of the zone.

“They`ve had a few wins and are safe now. It`s their last home game of the season and they will want to win and it will be tough for us.”

Home fans will want a better send off for their team than in the past two seasons when Watford have been the opponents on both occasions.

The Hornets recovered from two goals down to win at the Ricoh in 2009 before sealing Chris Coleman’s fate by hammering the home side last year.
