Coventry City look to arrest their mini-slump in form when they host Shrewsbury Town at Sixfields on Sunday while the visitors are aiming to breathe life into their battle against relegation by building on Saturday’s victory at Notts County.

That success at Meadow Lane came after falling two goals behind and lifted the Shrews above their hosts and to within three points of Crewe Alexandra who occupy the last safe spot in League One.

Recently appointed on a permanent basis until the end of the season, manager Mike Jackson said: ‘We have not got back-to-back wins all season. That should be the challenge now to go Coventry and win.

‘All of a sudden it would flip the league (table) if we got six points from two games. People would start getting a little bit more belief so I said that to the players after the game.’

For the Sky Blues, Steven Pressley may have three strikers back in contention as Callum Wilson plays in an Under-21 game on Tuesday, Nathan Delfouneso steps up his comeback from injury and Chuba Akpom returns from Arsenal.
