Steven Pressley has issued an early warning to his Coventry City players that they could be dragged into a relegation scrap if they do not quickly come out of a mini-slump in form.

‘This is our most challenging period of the season and we`ve got to show that we have the stomach for it,’ he said after the weekend defeat at the hands of Tranmere Rovers.

In truth, City have enough teams below them, enough games left and enough firepower to make sure a relegation scrap is not an issue.

Pressley has a full week to work with his team before Shrewsbury come to Sixfields on Sunday and should have Callum Wilson, Nathan Delfouneso and Chuba Akpom available for selection up front.
