Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has handed Danny Philliskirk the chance to earn a Sky Blues deal for next season after naming him in his starting XI for the game against Leyton Orient.
The former Sheffield United forward, tipped for big things as a youngster when signed by Chelsea, was picked up on a free by Mark Robins earlier in the season and challenged to land a longer deal by the then City boss.
