Coventry City headed into their final league fixture of the season at the Ricoh Arena left to reflect on what might have been after a campaign with more than the usual amount of Sky Blue ups and downs.

Despair at the beginning gave way to optimism halfway through before the 10 point penalty and associated off-field problems left most supporters just waiting for the season to end.

The Ricoh has been the scene of some good moments during 2012/13, notably the JPT wins against Sheffield United and Preston and the atmosphere for the Area Final.

In the league the highlight has been the 5-1 win over Walsall while City also ground out important victories against Tranmere and Oldham at a time when it looked as though they would make it into the top-six.

Too often, however, the Sky Blues have succumbed to demoralising defeats on their home turf, 1-2 being a scoreline that has happened all too often.

So it`s goodbye to CV6 for the summer. A summer that will unfortunately be dominated by events not connected to the playing side of the club.

Vital Coventry will have news and reaction from the game over the weekend.
