Julian Gray has been handed the chance to stay in the Premier League after Fulham surprisingly made his loan move from Coventry City a permanent arrangement on transfer deadline day.

The 29-year-old was another of Iain Dowie’s signings from the summer of 2007 who struggled to make any impact on Sky Blues’ fans, his best moments in a City shirt, strangely coming against the same opponent, with well-taken goals against Barnsley both at the start of last season and early on in the current campaign.

What the future holds remains to be seen as Roy Hodgson has used Gray only once to date.
