Away form was an achilles heel for Derby County last season so the Rams will be looking to build on their opening day win at Leeds when they visit the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

‘We didn’t get too many wins away from home last year, which was frustrating,’ midfielder Paul Green told the club’s official site.

‘Hopefully we can rectify the form and keep getting points on our travels. If we had done that last year we’d have been in the top half, so that is a big incentive for us.

‘We also have to keep the decent home form we had last year. If we can bundle all that together, we will be fine.’

One of Derby’s rare triumphs on the road last season came at the Ricoh as the Sky Blues’ form tailed off towards the end of the campaign.
