Coventry City’s preparations for Saturday’s game at Bury will be overseen by Lee Carsley and Steve Ogrizovic as the club deal with the fallout from Mark Robins’ impending departure for Huddersfield Town.

Development director Steve Waggott told the Coventry Telegraph: ‘We are very lucky to have two great football men, both with the club very much at heart, who can take care of things on the pitch while we work behind the scenes.’

Although the Sky Blues have already experienced a torrid time under one caretaker manager this season that was at the beginning of the campaign when a host of new arrivals were still trying to bed down at the club.

A way of playing has been established now and the players know their roles and that they can match any side in the division. Hopefully it will be ‘business as usual’ and the travelling fans at Gigg Lane will be toasting a vital three points.

“I have watched a lot of League One football this year, it isn`t rocket science,” Carsley told the club`s official website.

“I may not have that much coaching experience but I had a lot of experience playing at the highest level and I want this side to play at a high-tempo.”
