Coventry City dropped to 23rd in League One after their defeat away to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday but at least one person at the game believes the Sky Blues will be at the right end of the table come May.

Home boss Ronnie Moore saw his side continue their excellent start to the season, with late goals from Cassidy and Robinson settling a tight encounter at Prenton Park, but felt Rovers had not been at their best.

Furthermore he felt that the visitors ‘passed the ball really well and they’ll be very close to promotion this year.’

Praise from opposition managers comes easily of course when your team has won the game and it was something that (in the context of being a bottom of the table side) came regularly last season.

Will it still be being said in April next year? If so it could spell big trouble for the Sky Blues.

***Update***The Telegraph on Monday says the final three on the managerial shortlist are Richard Shaw, Mark Robins and Paul Ince, Head over to the Vital Coventry forum to vote for your choice.
