Greenhous Meadow is the venue on Tuesday night for what will be the final game Richard Shaw takes charge of Coventry City for as caretaker manager.

A new permanent boss will be named after the match and although Shaw remains nominally in the running a hat-trick of league defeats under his care mean that either Paul Ince or Mark Robins is set to be Andy Thorn`s successor.

Only goal difference keeps the Sky Blues off the foot of League One but they may be able to take some confidence from the fact that Scunthorpe United, bottom going into last weekend’s games, travelled to the same venue and handed Shrewsbury their first defeat at home since March 2011.

“It was unusual for us. The opposition got on top of the game,” said Shrews boss Graham Turmer afterwards:

“The majority of the Scunthorpe players came out on top in their individual battles and, when you have got a situation like that, it’s very difficult to get the right result.

“We now have to look forward. It`s good to have a game so quickly afterwards and it`s good it`s a club the size of Coventry.”

Former City youngster Jermaine Grandison will line up for the hosts.
