In contrast to the other Sky Blues, who currently occupy 4th place in the Premier League it has been a week of positive news for the club who lie in the same position a division below.

Saturday’s hard-fought win at Sheffield United and the arrival of Leeds with their excellent away following has sparked an upsurge in interest among home fans for this weekend’s Ricoh Arena clash.

That means a 25,000 crowd is expected as the Aidy Boothroyd bandwagon begins to gather momentum.

And unlike his counterpart at Eastlands, Boothroyd seems to be presiding over a happy camp if comments from Michael Doyle are anything to go by.

The midfielder has been unable to break back into the City side since his return from a season on loan at Leeds but senses that something good is happening at the club where he has served under a host of different bosses.

‘This is probably the first time since I have been here that we have looked solid and going into every game with big belief in the team,’ he told the Coventry Telegraph.

“It starts with the manager and players and that is going on to the fans now who are starting to get excited, and rightly so because we look a dangerous team.”

To cap a good week for Coventry, striker Freddy Eastwood, who started the season in such good form, is back in contention for a place in the side following injury, adding to the welter of options at Boothroyd’s disposal.
