Scunthorpe United head into Sunday’s live televised clash with Coventry City boosted by a last-gasp equaliser against Leicester at the weekend which stopped a run of defeats for the Iron.
Winger Martyn Woolford stepped off the bench to peg back the Foxes and hopes to have done enough to earn a start in front of the cameras.
He told the Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph ‘The manager knows I think that I can score goals and hopefully the one I got against Leicester will give him a headache when it comes to selecting the team for the Coventry game.
‘I would love to be involved.’
United will be hoping for a repeat of their last home game against the Sky Blues when Jack Cork, who will line up for the visitors on Sunday, netted a vital winner in March 2008.
