The Sky Blues face a resurgent Owls outfit at the weekend looking to lift some of the gloom that has enveloped the Ricoh in recent weeks.

Last week’s performance against Derby was more reminiscent of last season’s home displays and Micky Adams will be hoping for more of the same plus a good result come the final whistle.

Vital Quotes:

City skipper Robert Page: ‘Saturday was probably one of the best performances we have given all season and we came away with nothing.

‘But that’s football for you and even though we are bitterly disappointed with the result, if we can perform like that week in, week out we are going to win more than we lose, so that’s the positive we have got to take out of the game.’

Fellow centre-half Elliott Ward told the club website: ‘We’ve played well for most of the season and we’ve deserved more than we have got so on Saturday, if there’s a battle, we’ll be looking to out-battle them, out-pass them and hopefully score a few goals too.

‘I’m expecting a tough game because they have won their last three matches and are scoring goals, but we must shoot them down and get the home win.’

Owls midfielder Kenny Lunt told his club’s website: ‘Brian Laws has put in his little ideas which have been good and we’ll keep improving.

‘It’s nice to get a run in the team and, most importantly, results have improved.’
