Coventry City continued their solid home form on Saturday with an excellent team performance that saw them gain a deserved three points against a disappointing Nottingham Forest side.

Now the Sky Blues must look to improve on their poor away record against one of the Championship’s in-form teams, Leeds United, who added an impressive 3-0 win at Doncaster on Friday night to their recent run of home victories.

Andy Thorn’s players responded superbly to an international break that had seen nothing but bad news for the club, from rumours about Thorn’s own future to an ever-increasing injury list but thin resources will be stretched even further by Saturday’s marathon effort which included 10 minutes of injury time.

Joe Murphy looks set for a spell on the sidelines after his injury but cramp victims Conor Thomas and Richard Wood should be available. That may see Thorn name an unchanged outfield XI after coaxing good performances from every one on the park, including Chris Hussey whose form had previously dipped.

Leeds also have a doubt over their number one goalkeeper, Andy Lonergan, with Paul Rachubka ready to come in. Manager Simon Grayson, speaking after the win at Doncaster, said: “We’d like to think we’ve got momentum with us.”
