Cyrus Christie makes his first appearance in the footballing rumour pages on Tuesday morning, linked with a move to the Premier League after taking his chance in the Coventry City side with aplomb this season.
Newcastle United and Stoke City are the teams mentioned as possible destinations but there is no doubt that most top-flight clubs will already have been made aware by their scouts of Christie’s potential.
With the full-back role having gained increasing importance over the years, the ability to charge forward and be as much of an attacking player as a defender has become crucial and City’s young right-back clearly has that in his locker.
