Richard Keogh has cited the Ricoh Arena and his new boss Aidy Boothroyd as key reasons for joining Coventry City upon the expiry of his Carlisle United contract.
The 23-year-old told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: ‘He (Boothroyd)’s very infectious.
‘I feel at this stage of my career he’s the manager who can help me move forward as a player and that’s why I’ve signed.’
Keogh is the fourth new arrival in CV6 so far this summer and added: ‘When the manager showed me round I was taken aback by how big the stadium is and how big the club actually is.
‘Coventry’s got a great history of being in the Premier League and after looking around the facilities I know exactly where the club should be.’
