Coventry City enter their 10th successive season at Championship level with another new manager at the helm in the shape of Aidy Boothroyd.

The former Watford and Colchester boss will lead his new team into action against 23 opponents, who Vital Coventry will be looking at over the next few weeks.

Head-to-head: 16 meetings have taken place between the sides since the Sky Blues’ relegation and the Hornets have been successful in 10 of them, notching up some hefty victories (5-2 and 4-0 twice including last season’s final game) in the process.

Transfer dealings: Little in the way of direct dealings between the clubs over the past 10 years but of course they now share Aidy Boothroyd in common, the former Watford manager having taken over at the Ricoh Arena.

The man in charge: Since Boothroyd’s departure, Watford have continued to place their faith in young managers, handing Malky Mackay his chance when Brendan Rodgers opted to leave Vicarage Road for Reading’s Madejski Stadium.
