Sky Blues misery again

Coventry City went down to their 11th league defeat of the season at Fratton Park this afternoon.

They fought their way back into the game thanks to a Jutkiewicz goal on 59 minutes but as has been the story of the season they could not keep the point and went down 2-1.

Normally so positive in defence of his players, Andy Thorn’s patience looks to have run out with the Sky Blues seven points adrift of safety and rock bottom of the Championship.

“You can’t defend the way we are defending at the moment,” he raged.

“We just keep giving ourselves mountains to climb and the two goals were a disgrace.

“They’re the sort of goals you see in Under-11 football, so I’m not too happy about our defending. I thought it was atrocious all afternoon. The first one was like something out of the circus. It was just a joke.”
