Three Coventry City defenders are attracting interest from the Premier League to the SPL via the Championship.

Starlet Jordan Willis may barely have featured as yet for the Sky Blues but that has not stopped him being linked with Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle United among others.

City player of the season Richard Keogh remains a wanted man as Bristol City and Cardiff City weigh up new bids for the versatile centre-half.

James McPake meanwhile ended the season at Hibs where, despite a Scottish Cup final defeat, he became something of a cult hero among the Easter Road fans.

That loan deal may yet be turned into a permanent move with manager Pat Fenlon telling Hibs TV: ‘He was fantastic for me and for the club in the short time he was here.

I would love to have him back – what he brought to the place is what we’re looking for.

While he was here, he was fabulous for us – both on and off the pitch. I think that’s important as well.

That’s the type of player we’re looking for. James fits that bill perfectly and hopefully we can now recruit a few more like him.’
