After a difficult week on the field and a more than negative time off it, Coventry City gave all their followers something to feel positive about with a superb come from behind win at Milton Keynes on Saturday.

Cyrus Christie was recalled to the team joining two of last week’s loan signings in the starting eleven, Dan Seaborne and Chris Dagnall.

The game had a cup tie atmosphere about it with nearly 7,000 City supporters making the short trip to Milton Keynes and in a fairly even first half the Dons just shaded it. They took the lead on 45 minutes through Shaun Williams from the penalty spot.

The Sky Blues stepped up a gear in the second 45 and goals from Chris Dagnall and two from Chris Maguire gave the Sky Blues a deserved three points.

It was instant payback from the trio of loan signings who brought to the team a rejuvenation of spirit which had appeared to be missing from the last two home games although an injection of life also came from the huge travelling contingent, a factor acknowledged by both managers after the game.
