The results: 6 games played, 4 wins (including against Wolves and Birmingham and Blackburn in the FA Cup) and 2 draws.

Memorable moment: Plenty to choose from for a change but probably Aron Gunnarsson’s volleyed equaliser in front of 5,000 travelling fans at Blackburn, just edging out Kieren Westwood’s late penalty save to secure the win over Wolves.

Quote…unquote: ‘When you think you are about to have the result taken away from you, it makes it so much sweeter when you win.

‘Had we drawn the game it wouldn’t have been my players’ fault, it would have been the referee’s, because it’s not a penalty.’
