Senior service needed at City

The Sky Blues side contained a host of inexperienced players and conceding an early goal to their visitors set the pattern for the match.

Of those experienced players who did see action in the match, Michael McIndoe failed to make any impression at all and has yet to justify his summer transfer from Bristol City.

Up front, Clinton Morrison, Freddy Eastwood and latterly Leon Best tried hard to feed off the scraps they were given, Eastwood hopefully gaining some confidence from his excellent goal.

Morrison can frustrate, spending a large part of each game with his hands in the air, railing at team-mates, officials and opposition but his partnership with Best has been fruitful and can continue to be given some better service.

Coleman will hope to welcome back some more of his senior players for Friday night’s trip to Derby, a game that has become vital for both struggling sides.
