Former Coventry City stalwart Richard Shaw continues to stamp his class on the game despite his advancing years.
The central defender, who left the Ricoh Arena after a well-deserved testimonial season in 2005/06, has been at the heart of the Millwall defence in the current campaign.
The improving Lions won 1-0 at Blackpool on Saturday and boss Willie Donachie said afterwards: ‘We scrapped it out on a poor pitch.
‘I thought our back four was superb with Richard Shaw a great example.
‘He’s committed and passionate about the game and leads by example.
‘You couldn’t get a better example than his goal-line clearance in the last minute.’
