Within a whisker of the Premier League last season, Reading blew away the cobwebs from a slow start to the current campaign with a routine victory over Doncaster Rovers at the weekend which included a first Royals goal for Adam Le Fondre, linked strongly with a move to Coventry City before the transfer deadline but who ended up at the Madejski Stadium instead.

The former Rotherham man will line up against the Sky Blues on Saturday keen to show his worth, as is Shaun Cummings, the youngster who excelled at right-back against Rovers and who is keen to get one over on childhood friend Chris Hussey.

Cummings knows that Coventry are coming off the back of a disappointing reverse at Ipswich and told the Get Bracknell website: “I think it could go one of two ways on Saturday.

“They will either dwell on their defeat or kick on.

“They will want to put in a good performance at home, but we`ve got our first win in a while and we have to try and kick on too.”
