Coventry City are without a league win in ten games following their defeat against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.

Aidy Boothroyd’s men, who were without in-form striker Marlon King, went down to Davide Somma’s second-half goal to continue their worrying slide down the Championship.

The Sky Blues are now 16th and just nine points off the relegation zone, sober statistics after a week in which no inward moves were made in the transfer market.

Boothroyd told the official club website afterwards that he was ‘encouraged’ by some of the individual performances from his players and pointed to a lengthy absentee list, saying Leeds ‘have been very lucky in the side that we have had to throw together’.
