Coventry City look to be in the loan market for a target man type centre forward and could be alerted to the news that Shefki Kuqi looks to have played his last game for Crystal Palace.

After fining and transfer listing the Finn for a gesture aimed at his own fans, manager Neil Warnock told the South London Press: ‘There’s no way back for Shefki at this moment – he has burnt a few bridges.

‘I’ve had a chat with him and it’s better if he moves on.

‘I’ve had probably nine clubs enquire about him but he’s not going to go anywhere below the Championship.’

Kuqi’s career has taken a downward turn over the past season or so but he has a decent record in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich.

Chris Coleman has already been linked with Heidar Helguson of Bolton Wanderers, a player he signed while Fulham boss.
