Two teams for whom the season has been a major disappointment meet at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night amid signs of an upturn in fortunes for both after some solid displays under their respective new managers.

The Sky Blues have struggled away from home this season but the Blades themselves have often saved their best displays for when they are away from Bramall Lane.

A healthy crowd should create a good atmosphere, helped by the reduced ticket prices on offer which (to United’s major credit) apply to away fans as well.

Vital Quotes: Chris Coleman

‘The last two away games we gave away stupid goals and you can’t do that,’ the City boss told the Coventry Telegraph.

‘When you are away from home you have to be hard to beat first and foremost.

‘We don’t have to go out and entertain the opposition crowd.’

Sheffield United Team News:

Skipper Chris Morgan is doubtful with a knock so Ugo Ehiogu could come in.

Player to watch: James Beattie

Hasn’t convinced all Blades fans’ despite his goalscoring record but has been back in form recently.

Coventry City Team News:

An unchanged side looks the most likely for the Sky Blues.

Player to watch: Jay Tabb

A major contender for player of the season (the only one?) and enjoying a new lease of life in recent weeks as he and Kevin Thornton are given license to roam the pitch.
