For the third game in succession, Marlon King opened the scoring for Coventry City when they took on Nottingham Forest on Tuesday but the striker once again saw his side lose a lead and succumb to a morale-sapping defeat.

The Sky Blues gifted their visitors two goals to slip to 15th in the Championship, closer to the drop zone than the top six.

Aidy Boothroyd will again be able to find plenty of positives from his side’s display but the harsh reality of results are not in the manager’s favour at present and he knows his men face another tough task at Leeds on Saturday.

Reaction to follow on Vital Coventry.
