We gave two poor goals away but we had some decent chances second half and enough to get something out of the game.’

That was how Roy Keane saw Sunday’s match at the Ricoh Arena in which his Ipswich Town side were beaten 2-1 by Coventry City.

While praising former international colleague Clinton Morrison for his two goals, Keane felt both could have been prevented by his side.

Ipswich pushed hard in the second-half without finding an equaliser and with Keane expected to strengthen his squad further ahead of the deadline it could prove to have been a good time for the Sky Blues to play them.

Chris Coleman was certainly pleased with the scalp, saying: ‘I’m sure Roy will go back home and kick his cat because he hates losing but that’s a feather in our cap.’
