Hughes slams ‘unacceptable’ Rovers

Mark Hughes did not try and hide behind injury problems after his side’s 4-1 defeat by Coventry City in the FA Cup.

‘That’s no excuse and we had enough on the pitch to make more of a game of it,’ he raged.

‘Our second-half performance wasn’t acceptable.

‘Players didn’t tune in to what we were trying to do and in the end it was quite comprehensive.’
