Coventry City make the journey to Griffin Park on Saturday afternoon to face a Brentford side and club on the up.

The Bees are now firmly in the driving seat for automatic promotion after an important London derby win at Leyton Orient last weekend. Despite the loss of manager Uwe Rosler (in charge when Brentford eased to victory at Sixfields earlier in the season) to Wigan, new boss Mark Warburton has carried on where the German left off.

Midfielder Adam Forshaw was last week named as the League One player of the year while the club themselves, with the go-ahead now given for a new stadium, were named as community club of the year.

A tough test then for the Sky Blues but last weekend’s fightback against Port Vale should have kept spirits high and it may be a game that suits Steven Pressley’s side more than some of their recent fixtures with the manager believing that the return of Callum Wilson to the side allows City to play more in the opposition half.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Pressley gave a hint as to his starting line-up when he said: “I thought he (Wilson) and Nathan Delfouneso got a good combination in the final half an hour against Port Vale on Sunday.”

The manager also Chuba Akpom available and Andy Webster, Dan Seaborne, Jordan Willis and Jordan Clarke battling to start in the centre of defence.
