Freddy Eastwood made an impressive start to his Coventry City career on Saturday with two goals in the 3-1 win at Cambridge United.

The Sky Blues have been one of a number of Championship clubs to spend big on strikers this summer and many of those players showed why at the weekend.

Kevin Lisbie netted the winner for Ipswich against West Brom while Chris Iwelumo (2) and Sam Vokes scored for Eastwood’s former club Wolves at Kilmarnock.

Sheffield United new-boy Darius Henderson marked his debut with a goal at Scunthorpe, with the man he replaced at Bramall Lane, Rob Hulse, pulling off a similar feat for Derby County at Mansfield.
