Dowie expecting ‘tough, tough’ game

Iain Dowie is expecting a battle at Layer Road on Saturday as his in-form Coventry City side meet Colchester United.

‘They have a fantastic record at home and it will be a tough, tough game and what I want, massively, is for us to improve our away record before the end of the season because it is not good enough,’ said the new Sky Blues boss.

‘We went away to Norwich and dominated the game for long periods outside of the first and last ten minutes.

‘We have to go there and it is all about spirit and mental toughness because I think a lot of it is in the mind, so mentally we have got to make sure we are bang on.’
