Coventry City manager Iain Dowie will not settle for a lowering of standards between now and the end of the season despite the Sky Blues occupying a comfortable mid-table berth.
‘I would be disgusted if at any time in my tenure there wasn’t a relevance to any game,’ he said.
‘I really do believe that because people part with hard-earned money to come to watch the team.
‘It is an entertainment sport and the minimum I require is a shift.
‘We have done that in the last six games and we want the rest of the season to be the same.’
