Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis wants his side to enjoy the occasion at the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday night as a 30,000+ crowd descends on the stadium for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Area Final against the Sky Blues.

Speaking after a narrow win against Scunthorpe on Saturday he told the Crewe Chronicle: ‘We can take the positives, sit down and watch the DvD and look forward to Coventry on Tuesday.

‘It will be the biggest crowd that most of them have ever played in front of and it is a nice break from the league. It is a little carrot there to get to a final and hopefully they will give it all they have got.’

Previewing the game on his club’s official website, assistant manager Neil Baker praised Mark Robins’ work at the Ricoh Arena and admitted City were likely to be favourites, adding however: “It is something to look forward to.”
