Leon Best has been handed a surprise chance on the international stage after being named in the Irish squad for their friendly against Nigeria at the end of the month.
The frontman, capped twice at Under-21 level, enjoyed a purple patch in the opening months of the year, which coincided with his wearing of a mask to protect an injury.
