Coventry City’s struggle to replace Leon Clarke in attack is continuing as manager Steven Pressley has admitted that on/off loan signing Chuba Akpom is finding it hard to juggle playing for two sides.

We wrote a month ago how it seemed strange that Akpom could effectively be turning out both for the Sky Blues’ first team and also Arsenal’s youth side on a regular basis and the youngster was again back in North London on Tuesday night for a fixture against Barcelona.

‘We’re trying to teach him to play for us in a certain style and then he`s returning to his club and for periods they are asking him to play in a different style.’

With Nathan Delfouneso not quite living up to the billing of a player who burst onto the scene at Aston Villa it adds up to a host of new forwards who haven’t quite fitted the bill for City this season.

There’s still time for Delfouneso to make an impact and the return of Callum Wilson has eased the problem considerably but Clarke’s absence remains keenly felt.
