The postponement of Notts County’s game against Leyton Orient this weekend due to international call-ups means Coventry City will be off the bottom of the League One table if they win Sunday’s fixture against Colchester United at Sixfields.

Three points will wipe out the Sky Blues ten-point penalty and put them on one point for the season after six games and would be a significant achievement for Steven Pressley’s men at such an early stage of the campaign.

Pressley has Blair Adams available again for selection while U’s boss Joe Dunne told BBC Essex earlier in the week: ‘We’ve only had 10 players training on Thursday morning – 11 including the goalkeeper.

‘The game being on Sunday gives us an extra 24 hours which helps.

‘It’s the wide areas where we’re struggling with injuries at the moment. We’ll get to Sunday and maybe look to address it next week.’
