David McGoldrick has joined Coventry City on loan until the new year ahead of the closure of the transfer window on Friday night.
The 24-year-old former Southampton man moves from Nottingham Forest where the recent signing of Simon Cox has pushed him further down the pecking order.
Confirming the deal, development director Steve Waggott told the Coventry Telegraph that several other clubs had been interested in the player.
