Andy Thorn believes the key decision in Saturday’s game between Watford and Coventry City, to disallow Nathan Cameron’s headed goal in the first-half, was incorrect.

Referee Colin Webster spotted an infringement in the area but Thorn said: ‘There’s no contact whatsoever and the boy just runs through and heads it.

B>I’m really disappointed in that decision because that’s three points for us.’

The Sky Blues boss was pleased with the way his side matched Watford’s ‘style of play’ and felt that they ‘stood strong’ to gain a point which keeps alive survival hopes.

Opposite number Sean Dyche felt City came with a plan to ‘lull the game’ but that his side took control of the match after the break.

‘We caused enough to take the lead and then nearly got our pocket picked by a couple of breakaways from just a long ball down the pitch.’
