Millwall have moved quickly to strengthen their following the weekend defeat at Derby County by signing midfielder Brian Howard on loan from Reading.
Howard was an unused substitute when the Royals came to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday and moves to South London in search of more regular first team football.
Millwall host the Sky Blues on Tuesday 1 November.
Meanwhile Portsmouth, who beat Tuesday night’s Coventry City opponents Blackpool at the weekend, have snapped up Bjorn Helge Riise on loan from Fulham.
Coventry City travel to Fratton Park on Saturday 3 December.
