After a fractious 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday left them in third place in the Championship, Cardiff City entertain Coventry City on Tuesday night looking to maintain their healthy league position.

‘If we want to stay there we need to keep working hard and keep the standards up,’ boss Dave Jones told the press ahead of the game.

Jay Bothroyd hopes to be fit to face his former club while new Sky Blues’ signings Chris Hussey and Gary Madine are in the squad for what will be Coventry’s first visit to the new Cardiff City stadium.

Last season’s corresponding fixture at Ninian Park ended in a 2-1 win for the home side.
