Andy Thorn is bristling with intent to do some transfer business after seeing Coventry City’s transfer embargo lifted on Wednesday.

Confirming his hope of signing midfielder Oliver Norwood to a permanent deal after his successful loan spell at the Ricoh Arena last season, the Sky Blues also made clear that he has no intention of losing Richard Keogh, a target for Championship clubs Cardiff and Bristol City.

“Keogh’s under contract so he`s not going anywhere as far as I am concerned,’ Thorn told the Coventry Telegraph.

‘I want him to stay and lead us back into the Championship and even though the embargo has been in place we’ve still been in negotiations with Richard and Martin Cranie about keeping them at the club because I want to keep them, as I do all of my good players.’
