Blackpool manager Simon Grayson wants his side to convert their all-round play into goals going into the Christmas period.

‘They’ve shown endeavour, work-rate and attitude in abundance,’ he said ahead of Saturday’s game against Coventry City.

‘We just sometimes need a bit more quality and ruthlessness about us and if we got that we’ll be fine.’

To that end, the Seasiders may pitch in scoring sensation Danny Mitchley at the weekend.

The youngster has been prolific at youth-team level and netted twice for the reserves earlier in the week.
