Coventry City remain in relegation trouble after Saturday’s defeat at Watford.

Leon Best had levelled Nathan Ellington’s early goal but Tommy Smith won it for the home side.

Elsewhere at the bottom, Southampton defeated leaders Bristol City, Leicester were brushed aside by Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday drew 1-1 with Scunthorpe.

Barnsley drop into the bottom three but have a game in hand but have games in hand on the other sides.

  • Fair play your boys, we showed very little and the hoof ball paid off, just, abliet a mistake from old boy Hughes.

  • The Fox slip that let Smith in was unfortunate. Though on saying that Cov’s first half performance was way below Championship par and it took the introduction of Mifsud (on as a winger) to change the game. I was surprised he didn’t start.

  • Been a bit inconsistent lately has Mifsud. Probably benefit from a spell as an impact sub like yesterday. A good battling game from both sides I thought.
