Having been handed an immediate debut by Coventry City on Saturday, following his loan signing from Sunderland, defender Blair Adams became the 25th player to start a League One game for the Sky Blues so far this season when he impressed in the 5-0 hammering of Hartlepool United.

With three different managers having been at the helm, their attempts to find a winning formula have seen a consistent changing of players and formations as well as regular moves into the loan market.

That is reflected in the fact that only 6 players have started 10 or more of the club’s 18 league games with goalkeeper Joe Murphy the only ever present.

Adams certainly played his part in the weekend win and told the Coventry Telegraph that the decision to join City was an easy one.

‘As soon as I knew they were interested I wanted to come down.’
