A Tougher League One This Season?

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans feels his side, promoted last season, are playing in a much stronger edition of League One in 2013/14 than they would have been last year.

As Leyton Orient, Wolves and Brentford battle for the title it looks as though last season’s top points tally of 84 will be well beaten.

‘Last year it was poor and everyone who was in League Two or the Championship thought it,’ Evans said. ‘The quality of the play was poor and supporters were bored but I think this season it really is a tough division.

‘If we’d have been in this league last year we’d have got out of it the top way because the people that went up, probably wouldn’t go up this year.’

Coventry City need another 18 points from their remaining 15 games to match last season’s total of 55 (after again having 10 deducted).
