A Boxing Day Test For Sky Blues

Coventry City face a good measure of their improvement under Mark Robins when they face Stevenage on Boxing Day.

Still under the caretaker management of Richard Shaw when they last faced ‘Boro, the Sky Blues were brushed aside by a very well-organised League One side who simply allowed their hosts to pass the ball around in front of them knowing that they posed little threat.

That live televised defeat at the Ricoh Arena was a low point for the club and few could have foreseen the gradual improvement brought about by Robins since his arrival.

‘They seem to be in a pretty good run at the moment,’ Stevenage manager Gary Smith told his club’s official website.

‘They look quite confident. The players are in good health, there are no suspensions or too many injuries or doubts around their team so I would think that the game they had will just keep them ticking over.’
